Beyond The Comfort Zone…

Your assignment, if you choose to take it on, is to…challenge yourself to do one scary thing this week — all by yourself. No, it doesn't mean you have to go sky diving or bungee jumping, but perhaps it is making that phone call, deciding to go to a restaurant who's cuisine you are unsure about, checking out festival or venturing into a part of town that makes you feel slightly uncomfortable but is where a store you've wanted to check out is located. The idea here is to take yourself just slightly out of your comfort zone, because so often our intuitive sense suggests we do something we are uncertain about.  And if you haven't developed your ability to push yourself just slightly out of your comfort zone, then how can you listen to a suggestion from somewhere deep inside of yourself that says "Go down that road, right now, because I think there is an adventure waiting to happen…" It's just like working out your muscles.  If don't start with the five pounders you'll never get to the fifties.
